Antonio Mastria works as a freelance artist, contributing work to creator owned and small press comics. He is a graduate of the Joe Kubert school of cartoon a graphic art, where he studied the visual storytelling medium of comic books and illustration. Experienced in several mediums such as oil, acrylic, gouache, and watercolor painting, ink and digital media as well.
The Age-Friendly University Network AFU invites higher education institutions around the world to publicly promote age-friendly policies. Long Beach State University recently joined AFU, although the school already has a long-standing history of support for the older adult community. This array of programs allows CSULB to welcome older adults as students and consult with them in the creation of age-friendly programs on and off campus. At the same time, undergraduate and graduate gerontology courses educate future generations about aging and its impact on the community.
